Single Skin Panels
A single skin panel system is a name used when one sheet of metal is used to clad a wall. Typically they are installed directly to the wall substrate. Single skin wall panels come in a variety of sizes and colors and are generally cheaper than Composite Panel Systems.
Composite Panels
Composite metal panels give a building a high tech and polished look with its unique ability to be formed into all types of interesting shapes. These panels are produced by bonding an engineered plastic core between two metal skins. A variety of metals such as copper, stainless steel or even titanium can be used to produce these panels, but aluminum is still the most popular for its versatility and affordability.
Insulated Panels
Just like the composite metal panels these panels have two metal skins, but instead of a plastic core it employs an insulating material such as polyurethane which can give the panels a insulating value or R-14 to R-30 depending upon the insulating core used and its thickness.
