expert-decking-waterproofing-fluid-applied

Fluid Applied Waterproofing

Used typically for below grade walls, planters, planter boxes and between slabs. Fluid applied waterproofing is a membrane that goes on as a liquid and dries to a reinforced structure. It can penetrate into cracks and effectively fill small crevices.

Sheet Goods

Sheet goods are ideal for use on below grade walls, in planters, lagging, between slabs and blind-side waterproofing. The sheets easily conform to any shape and can be used to wrap below-grade walls or line planters. Sheets go in place faster than fluids and construction can continue around them immediately without the need for any drying time.

Spray-On Systems

When you are working with odd shapes or areas with limited access, a spray-on waterproofer can be the best choice. Waterproofing sprays have been successfully used for fabrics and other porous materials, and they are particularly effective on below-grade walls, planters, slabs, and even for blind-side waterproofing. It goes on easily and is durable enough to last for decades to come. If you have a property near the water, you may want to consider using this waterproofing spray on exposed walls before the siding is put in place. It’s also an excellent option for giving below-grade walls an extra layer of protection, and you can use it on the exterior of basement walls that have minor leaks.

This waterproofing system is best for working with odd shapes or areas with limited access. Like sheet goods, spray-on waterproofing is used on below grade walls, in planters, lagging, between slabs and blind-side waterproofing. It goes on easily and is durable enough to last for decades.

expert-decking-waterproofing-vapor-barriers

Vapor Barriers

The function of a vapor barrier is to retard the movement of water vapor through a porous surface. Condensation forms on surfaces and can slowly move through them to the other side. Vapor barriers stop this movement to prevent the development of mold and avoid water damage. Used on both walls and floors, vapor barriers should be put down between the concrete slab and foundation dirt. The plastic barrier will stop the migration of water and ensure that the concrete remains dry. The barriers are also commonly used in below-grade walls to keep moisture away from insulation and protect the structure.

Vapor barriers are typically installed on the soil before pouring the first floor concrete slabs. These barriers prevent moisture from migrating up through the slabs.

expert-decking-waterproofing-planters

Planter Systems

Part of the green movement includes embracing things like rooftop gardens, hydroponics, and raised beds for gardening. The problem with all of these structures is that they can leak and allow nearby structures to sustain water damage. Whether you are constructing indoor planters or a roof garden that’s environmentally-conscious and functional, we can provide you with the waterproofing options the structure demands. These systems are used to prevent damage from structures such as planters and rooftop gardens due to water migrating to adjacent construction.

waterproofing-membranes

Membranes

These are designed to waterproof areas where tile, stone or other decorative finishes will be installed over them. Applications include showers, bathrooms, kitchens, etc.

waterproofing-anti-fracture

Anti-Fracture

These membranes are designed to absorb and lessen some of the natural movement of a structure, thus considerably reducing the chances of the finished flooring materials from cracking. These membranes are typically used in areas where tile, stone or other decorative finishes will be installed over them. Applications include showers, bathrooms, kitchens, decks, slabs, etc.
